New Zealand Rugby (NZR) has announced the renewal of their partnership with long-standing apparel partner adidas.

Renewing a partnership that begun in 1999, adidas will continue to provide NZR’s Teams in Black, including the All Blacks, Black Ferns, All Blacks Sevens, Black Ferns Sevens, Māori All Blacks, All Blacks XV, New Zealand Under 20, and Heartland XV, with playing kit, apparel, boots, and footwear.

NZR Chief Executive Mark Robinson is excited by the future opportunities the extended partnership with adidas will bring.

“adidas has always been a valued long-term partner and this renewal is an endorsement of their commitment and shared passion for NZR and our Teams in Black. We have seen huge successes across our teams during the past 24 years and shared in the excitement of Rugby World Cup success across both the All Blacks and Black Ferns. We hold a shared belief in the power of sport, at the highest level to bring people together. Our teams embody what is great about sport and alongside adidas, we can maximise opportunities to innovate through sport performance, while also engaging and reaching our fans on a global scale.”

adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden is looking forward to creating many memorable moments on and off the pitch together.

“We are very proud to continue our successful partnership with New Zealand Rugby and all Teams in Black. We had many fantastic moments together over the past 24 years and we will create many more, starting with the Rugby World Cup in France later this year.”

Since 1999, the Black Ferns have been World Champions five times (2002, 2006, 2010, 2017, 2021* played in 2022) and the All Blacks World Champions twice (2015, 2019). Additionally, the All Blacks Sevens have been World Champions (2001, 2013, 2018) and the Black Ferns Sevens two (2013, 2018). The New Zealand Under 20s have won six World Rugby Under 20 Championship titles (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2017) and two Under 19 Rugby World Championships (2004, 2007).
