ITM CUP – Preview Semi Finals

2013 ITM Cup Semi-Finals

Wellington have finished as the highest qualifier, losing just one match to grab top spot after the regular season finishing ahead of defending champions Canterbury, who claimed the second home spot in the ITM Premiership.

The Ricoh Lions will welcome Tana Umaga’s Steelers, who locked up the Ranfurly Shield for the summer with their impressive win over Southland.

The champions enter the finals in impressive form with a 38-0 win at North Harbour Stadium, while their opponents Auckland suffered a loss to Otago.

The men from the Deep South secured a place in the ITM Cup Championship semi-finals, hosting Hawke’s Bay after the Magpies stormed into form with a 35-24 win over Wellington.

Tasman, who finished top of the Championship after the regular season, and they will host Southland who finished fourth overall.

We now look ahead to the four Semi Finals:

WELLINGTON v COUNTIES MANUKAU
