Two of the country’s shining lights in the 2013 ITM Cup competition will face off in next week’s Championship final in Nelson when Tasman host Hawke’s Bay and the chance is one of them will end up top of the individual scoring lists for the year.
For the moment Otago’s Hayden Parker heads the list on 170 points but with Otago knocked out by Hawke’s Bay in Sunday’s semi-final, the chance is there for Ihaia West from Hawke’s Bay, who is on 159 points, and for hometown sensation Marty Banks, who has scored 154 points, to head Parker off at the last gasp.
