7s GRAND PRIX SERIES {Live} June 7/8th in Lyon

gp72014On June 7th and 8th the first leg of the European GPS 7s 2014 will take place in Lyon.

It includes 3 other stages in Moscow (28/29 in June), Manchester (September 13/14) and Bucharest (September 20/21).

The best 12 European teams participate in this tournament which will take place in the Matmut Stadium de Vénissieux (close to Lyon). England puts back its European champion’s title in  the game and 11 other teams will certainly want to mark points for the final classification.

France and Russia who completed the podium 2013 necessarily want to do better but the other national teams also wish to win tournaments. So, Portugal, Italy, Scotland, Wales, Georgia, Germany, Spain, Roumania and Belgium are going to animate the tournament!
On two days of competitions, with not less than 34 contests of 7×2 minutes, these teams are going to show the best of the 7s rugby.
Intensity, speed, spectacle will be the magic words of this discipline henceforth to the program of the Olympic Games of Rio in 2016. Moreover, 7s Grand Prix Series 2015 will give a sesame for those Olympics.

In France, Canal+Sport will diffuse them occasionally on Saturday, June 7th and very widely on Sunday, June 8th in the afternoon, from 1:30 pm.
