2020 Super Rugby – Rd 6 Full Preview

In a break from our match-by-match preview we have wrapped all of Round 6 into one post.

Super rugby round 6 has seven matches with three on Friday and four on Saturday after the Sunwolves v Brumbies match was rescheduled due to the Corona virus.

The Sunwolves match was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday but will now be the first match on Friday.

In our current form rankings which is based upon the last five matches, points scored, points conceded and matches won the Stormers are the top team.

Interestingly the second and third placed teams are the Sharks and the Jaguares which means that the toughest conference in terms of current form is the South African conference.

The Crusaders, Hurricanes and Chiefs are in fourth, fifth and sixth place while the top Australian team are the Brumbies in seventh place.


Sunwolves v Brumbies Super Rugby Preview

The Sunwolves have played the Brumbies 5 times in Super rugby since 2016 and the Brumbies have won all five matches.

This weekend the match will be played in Wollongong which is in Australia.

The Sunwolves are the home team but the Brumbies will feel more at home as it will be played on Australian soil.

In three of the five matches between these teams the match was played in Australia and in these matches the average score was Sunwolves 12 Brumbies 47.
